I am a contemporary artist from England. At the age of one I emigrated with my family to Australia. After years spent abroad living in several different countries I found my way back to the UK. I completed degrees in Psychology, Biology and Business and then settled on a career as an artist. I live and work in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales Peak District National Park. I love to paint and have always been creative. I am inspired by the creative process as a way to express ideas and emotions. Influences include nature, mythology, books, film and art. My medium is Watercolour and my art can also be collected on a variety of media including Fine Art Limited Edition Prints, clothing, calendars and greeting cards. In my spare time I enjoy nature, observing wildlife, walking, gardening, exploring and spending as much time outside as possible.
Pat was born in Sheffield and grew up on the edge of the Derbyshire Peak District. As a child, he fished the local trout streams and explored the woods and meadows outside her home. These experiences gave her a lifelong appreciation of nature and of the English countryside. Pat has lived, with her husband and two children, in such diverse countries as Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, the United States and Switzerland where she has exhibited and sold paintings, either privately or through exhibitions. As a result, her work is contained in collections all over the World.
Pat works from her home and Studio in Hartington in the Peak District National Park. She is a self taught artist who particularly enjoys the challenge of transparent watercolour. She paints a wide variety of subjects and is especially inspired by rarely-observed objects.
